Spelling

Just a quick reminder to all of you that read my blog. I am 34 wks pregnant, this means I am basically not running on a full deck of cards. I do spell check my posts, but I never read them again before I publish it. Needless to say there are a lot of typing mishaps. Thank You for being so kind as to over look them!

Swimming fun..........bad MOM

So today was half price swim day at the pools here in Lehi. I have been promising my kids we would go, so today was the day. My kids love to swim and love water. We went to the outdoor one this time, they have 2 pool here in Lehi. Anyway we got to the pool at about 2pm, and stayed until 7pm. It was a long day but so much fun. We meet Debbie and her kids there and that's always fun to have someone (adult wise) go with you. About half way through the day Hunter found that he could reach a little farther out then the stairs and got really daring. By the time we left he was putting his face in the water and blowing bubbles. The funny part was trying to get him to kick his legs. He didn't understand what I was saying and would run along the bottom of the pool. He thought he was kicking and was so proud of himself, I didn't have the heart to tell him that's not how you do it!

So, onto the bad mom part. My kids are so different in skin tones that I forgot to re-apply sun screen. Hunter has really olive skin. Its about a shade liter the McKenzie's if any of you remember how dark she gets. I put 60 proof sun screen on him when we got there and then never thought about it again. BAD MOM. Brock on the other hand is really fair skinned, which is really hard for me. I did re-apply sun screen and hes not so bad, just a good shade of pink.

For those of you that don't live in Utah. Last year we had a break out of crypotsperidium ( i am guessing on the spelling) in our public pools. This was caused by basically poop in the pools. So this year the head that be have decided to make all kids, 3 and under, wear little swimmer diapers, plus plastic pants over that, then there swimming trunks. I think, OK why not if it helps, beats spending 2 weeks with a sick kid. So we get to the pool and every hour and a half they make everyone get out of the pool for 15 min. Why you ask, for a bathroom break. This is the time in which parents are to take there little ones and get them changed or to a toilet. I thought it was really funny because no one with small children seemed to go into the bathroom. So it makes one wonder if its really going to help!!! I guess that's the down side of public pools.

What New...........

OK so I guess I need to update, since I get frustrated that nobody else does! We have been doing absolutely nothing. Kenzie went to girls camp last week, she seemed to have a good time until the last day. They went on a 3 mile hike and she didn't drink enough water, which meant she ended up really sick. Needless to say the Young Women pres. brought her home Thursday night. She went to the same place that all the other girls in the family are going or have went. Its called The Heber Valley Camp, Kortney went the week before Kenzie, Scott's girls went at the same time Kenzie went and Aprils girls will go next week. Its been fun to listen to them talk about what they did and how things went. Kenzie decided that our stake leaders are dumb because they made the girls get up at 6:30 everyday and then they couldn't go back to there cabins the rest of the day. Then it was lights out at 10:30, I say they are lucky they got to sleep in cabins and have showers!!!!! What kind of camping is that!! When Kortney went it snowed on them, could you imagine snow at girls camp!!

As for the rest of us, we haven't done much of anything. I moved Hunter downstairs to Brocks room and they are down there most of the day now. Its nice because I cant see the mess that they make and it doesn't really matter, no one else can either. I am spending more time down there since it is cooler the problem with that is I have a hard time if someone comes to the door I can hear them. I am now almost 34 wks and getting more ready everyday to have this baby, my Dr says it will probably be in the next few weeks since my blood pressure wont behave. I am just not sure I'm ready for the sleepless nights yet! Plus I still need to get a few more things, but I am ready for the headaches and swollen feet to go away. I need to have her a little early other wise Kenzie and Brock will be starting school again.

As for our summer its been really boring, We haven't had the money to do much of anything. Plus I haven't wanted to and the Dr. wants me to spend at least 4 hours a day resting, or more if I need it. I have an appointment tomorrow and If my pressure isn't down more then I may end up in bed all together. Funny to think that I would actually be able to stay in bed with my to little boys. Poor Kenzie shes never going to want kids!!!! But I am so glad to have her here to help, I love that girl I just wish she had a better attitude!

It finally happened..............

OK just a quick something. Those of you that read my blog have read my stress with potty training. Well just for all you to know it does happen, Hunter has finally gone to the bathroom for the last 3 days by himself. He has been peeing for weeks, but finally started pooping. I dont know really what the change was except I ran out of diapers. I did get him a chart with stickers that if he fills will get a toy and he loves that also. He has also went the last couple of nights with out peeing in bed, Im not real comfortable with leaving him without something at night. But he has woken up dry and wants his diaper off fast so I think its me who needs to be night trained.

So for those of you with the same problem I have had. Just tell them you no longer have diapers, they will either hold it for days or just go. Which is a mess, but my Dr. said if they hold it, the first time you have to "help them go" will probably cure them. Keep your head up it does happen. We did also make up a potty dance that Hunter loves and he loves how happy we all get when he goes.
